Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has cleared out his locker at Melwood and is heading to Birmingham to complete his transfer to Birmingham City. The Reds will receive an initial payment of £3.5million for the player which should rise to £6million depending on appearances. City boss Steve Bruce said: "Hopefully we will be able to make Emile a Birmingham player within the next two days."

Liverpool have been linked with a possible swoop for Galatasaray goalkeeper Faryd Aly Camilo Mondragon. The 32-year-old Colombian is available on a free transfer in the summer and acording to newspaper speculation, Gerard Houllier has been sniffing around him. It sounds a bit odd this link as there could be work permit issues but it's worth a mention.
