GLARING SIMILARITIES BTW NKF & P*P
The style of management is same.
The methodology of silencing critics is same.
The culture of back scratching is same.
The practice of mis-information is same.
The culture of rewarding the balls carriers is same.
The travelling on first class is also same.
The penchance for keeping huge reserves is same.
I somehow agree that the two institutions are of different nature, but somehow such
comparisons on the characters indeed draw out similarities.
Especially the use of defamation suits by NKF, do they epitomise the larger
picture? That is food for thought.
The age old Chinese saying about "the law is for the rich" seems to have become invalid in this modern and civilised world that is open and democratic. But here comes an example that says otherwise (in the democratic and equal Singapore?) when two ordinary fellows had to bow under defamation suits. More food for thought.

Below is a story i got from an email... it is pretty inspiring and it kinda helps the kind of sucky mood everyone is having rite now..

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. "God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the 2nd year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo." He said. "
In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." He said. "
Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me.
"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?"
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others."
He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and bring back this story.

The Method
1> You go up to the top of a roof
2> String piano wire tight across the front edge at neck level
3> Tie a cord to your foot & the other end to the building so that u’ll be above sidewalk level when its fully stretched
4> Put super glue on your hands
5> Put ur arms around the front of the wire and then back to touch ur head
6> Lean forward, so the piano wire cuts ur neck but not ur elbows
The Results
When the cord goes taut, u'll be hanging upside down with no head….except ur head will be in your outstretched arms thanks to gravity and the glue, staring at someone upside down and spewing blood everywhere.
The Aftermath or The Last Lauff
And some poor bastard will be traumatized for LIFE.
This is the way to die and yet have a wicked last lauff...
