Tak Jalan
My church recently told us about this movie and the buzz it was generating in the Christian circles. About how this fella is an autist athetist and writes children books which promote

His Books won him nothing yet according to wiki but on his personal site, he says he won the following, the Carnegie Medal, the Guardian Children's Book Award, and the Whitbread Book of the Year Award as well as the 2002 recipient of the Eleanor Farjeon Award for children's literature... so me wonders if he could be using religion as fast-track to riches ? i dunno.. no answers
"Pullman has been openly hostile about C.S. Lewis, and has been pretty clear about his desire to offer an alternate fantasy series based on what he would describe as humanist principles," he said.
Clearly, Pullman's main objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview, "my books are about killing God." He has even stated that he wants "to kill God in the minds of children." It has been said of Pullman that he is "the writer the atheists would be praying for, if atheists prayed."
While "The Golden Compass" movie itself may seem mild and innocent, the books are a much different story. In the trilogy, a young streetwise girl becomes enmeshed in an epic struggle to ultimately defeat the
oppressive forces of a senile God. Another character, an ex-nun, describes Christianity as "a very powerful and convincing mistake." In the final book, characters representing Adam and Eve eventually kill God, who at times is called YAHWEH. Each book in the trilogy gets progressively worse regarding Pullman's hatred of Jesus Christ.

Day 03
"The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder - a waif, a nothing, a no man"
~Thomas Carlyle
What drives us ?
Money? Passion? Ambition? Needs? Wants? Poverty?
On the contrary, many other pple i met in my mere 30 years of existence shows me their drive are made of fears, guilt, resentment, anger, materialism as well as a need for approval.
I remember myself as a young boy constantly on the seek for approval from my family, from my frenz and from my loved ones. i remember bringing home a basketball trophy once, only to be slighted for a brother's pending marriage... this gave raise to resentment, i totally changed to a different person.. tinking that doing bad things will only get their attention.. well notoriety and fame were only separated by a thin grey line. i got more anger from the family and i got more resentment in me.. it just lays on thicker and thicker.. along the years.. the materialism sets in, i start dissipating the resentment thru flagrant spending.. *cut the long story short*
i realised that the search for that inner peace is often asking yourself what drives u to work everyday ? what drives you to wake up in the morning ? what drives you to stay awake and alert thru this dreary world.
There must be sumtin... ...
