"Sadness" by Said Zahari.
Read his book "Dark Clouds at Dawn".

One of the poems written by Said Zahari (to be found on Pg 182 of his new book entitled "Dark Clouds at Dawn") written during his political detention years from February 2, 1963 to August 22, 1979... i feel super connected to this poem right now.. i ish not one to lose sleep over stuff.. but i guess this is it.. the ulimate one.. Da bomb...

sadness

There were times when there seemed
to be no end and no beginning
the days seemed too short
and the nights dragged on
in thousands of unpleasant dreams
the mountain suddenly grew taller
and the forest thicker
in the river, water no longer flowed
the sky was full of angry clouds
the moon was swallowed by the snake
and the stars took fright
where is the sun
i long for your brightness
