Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has expressed concern that Hougang and Potong Pasir residents will lose out on upgrading if they do not vote for the People's Action Party.

Wah lau eh... If i did not remember wrongly (apologies if i did) PAP said sumtin along this line the last GE.. so is this really the final decision... i mean if we are held at the ransome of upgrading..should we yield... hmmm... my mind goes groggy now...

i do not know whether is this the case of big brother flexing his muscles thru using upgrading as a carrot.. but upgrading costs are also borne by us.. not the ruling party lor... so wats the gift here.. the right for upgrading... that menas upgrading is only given to ruling party wards ah... hmmmm... so much for one pple, one nation one singapore... hahahhaa... it should eb mroe aptly read as one pple, one pap lor... sighh... maybe i m juz politically naive lah... well.. when the time comes ot cast the vote.. we all know who to vote for la..

Looking at the other side of things now...

April every year , at least for the past 3yrs, I've been having the same things being thrown at me...decisions & offers.. offers of better pay, offers of better welfare & offers of more time for me to spend in church & more time with my family.. is it not amazing how blessed i can be...

But this year, the blessing is the same.. a new job in a MNC with better prospects & better pay ish.... on the other hand, i truly respect my present boss and enjoy myself working there... apart form the usual gribes abt long workin hour... but i get alot of job satisfaction from seeing my customers enjoying their tours...

I agree with the author abt the Bible.. I've been a Christian for more than 10 years, 13 to be exact.. I was one of those converts during 1993 Xmas period.. my conversion story is not exactly earth moving lah.. but i still remembered back then that when i received Jesus into my life, i found renewed hope and new found faith.. something which i never thot was possible with my life.. and as i trudged on this uphill task of changing my life ard.. i often times stumble and fall.. sometimes as i stop behind nursing the pain and rue-ing the hard times i asked myself "Is it worth it ?".. A fren comes along and gently urges me to move along with him/her... i moved on slowly but surely, with the help of my frenz..

Today again.. i pick myself up.. i wanna rid myself of all my bad habits.. this i resolute today again..

as human beings we always want to be in control and try our best.. when we have capabilities, we'll have success... but in God's term... success is granted by Him..

sometimes we dun even hv to do anything.. but when we have the favor of God, He will grant us success.. i knwo this probaly sounds damn absurb but it really happens lor..

so to go on to the tangible parts, how to receive favor in God's eyes.. when u dun even draw near to Him..

solution is to fellowship with Jesus... know His heart, His thots, His mind, and let Him direct all our decision making.. then, success will come

otherwise we can be striving on our own limited human effort.. and it'll be like a house made on cards by the sea... sounds dangerous rite... And another thing though...no matter how solid the things we can build with our own hands.. without God.. nothing matters

sigh... so does it mean tthat i just wait to die ....
